HEALTH specialists have visited Otley to thank local Scouts for a donation.
The 2nd Otley Scouts’ charity for the year is Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust’s Be A Hero campaign, which aims to boost organ donation rates.
The Scouts have been holding events - including a fun-packed ‘gang show’ last year - to support the cause and recently presented a £500 cheque to Dr Cathy Penrose and Dr Claire Tordoff, who are Clinical Leads in organ donation. The pair visited the Scouts at their Otley base to thank them for their efforts and receive the donation.
