THE Ilkley Food & Drink Festival is returning on June 13-14, showcasing a huge selection of the region’s best talent in food, drink and performing arts. The family event is set to take place on East Holmes Field.

Organisers promise an expansion of activities for 2020, including new international cuisines, more stalls in the artisan markets and a new music line up.

“We had an amazing response to the first Ilkley Food & Drink Festival last year, with lots of positive feedback,” said Michael Johnston, Festival Director.

“We’re truly blessed to be able to hold the event in such a beautiful location in the Wharfe Valley.”

Attendees can expect foodie activities for all the family, including a live cookery theatre, giant artisan markets, live entertainment, kids activities, wellbeing stalls and a traditional fun fair.

Live music will feature all weekend, featuring live jazz, brass bands and acoustic performers.

“Last year we saw the demand for such an event on the riverside. We also demonstrated the talent right on our doorstep in Ilkley, with chefs such as Michael Carr at The Box Tree putting on inspiring demonstrations,” added Michael Johnston, Festival Director.

The festival will run additional activities throughout the festival to raise funds and awareness for Bradford-based charity Bradford Mind, having raised over £18,125 over the past four years for mental health charities.

Thousands are expected to head to East Holmes Field for The Ilkley Food & Drink Festival on Saturday, June 13 andSunday, June 14.
