A PLANNING application has finally been submitted to Bradford Council seeking permission create three raised planters on land at Station Plaza, Ilkley.
Work first started last year but was halted by council enforcement officers when it became clear no planning permission had been granted for the work.
The application, submitted this week by Tom Livesley, of Tel Landscape Architects, who is acting as agent for the development, seeks permission to build the features which would “serve to provide an aesthetically pleasing and low maintenance planting/seating area on Station Road”.
The footprint of each planter would remain the same as the existing ones but with a drystone wall of height 450mm forming the perimeter of each planting bed. Existing trees will remain with new under planting and layer of top soil.
