BURLEY Scouts and Guides would like to thank The Enterprise Foundation for their generous donation of £1,500 towards the new Burley-in-Wharfedale Scout & Guide HQ.
Keith Kelly (pictured) from Enterprise Car Club presented the cheque recently at a Rainbow meeting.
Enterprise support a wide range of charitable causes across the county, big and small.
In Burley they loan a van when equipment needs to moved around the village for events like Teas on the Green, the Christmas market or transporting the hanging baskets displayed around the village in the summer.
Rainbow leader Helen Haskins said on behalf of Burley Scouts and Guides: “The Scout & Guide Group are very grateful to be supported in this way.”
The new headquarters in Peel Place are now being regularly used by the various uniformed organisations.
