BROWNIES who are part of the Rombalds District Brownies and Rainbows raised more than £2,000 for Children in Need last month.
The brownies and rainbows donned their walking boots to take part in Countryfile Ramble, which each year raises money for Children in Need by hostings walks across the country.
Ann Peacock, PR Advisor Girlguiding Wharfedale said: “The 63 young walkers would like to thank everyone who supported them when they rambled from Nell Bank to the Cow and Calf on a lovely, bright day last month.
“The total raised by Rombalds District Brownies and Rainbows for Children in Need is £1563.
“Furthermore, after a successful fundraising evening at Ben Rhydding Guide Headquarters £627 needs to be added to our grand total! That makes it a phenomenal £2,190.”
