ADDINGHAM Methodist Church’s Charity Christmas Cracker - the annual pre-Christmas event - is on Saturday(December 14) at 10am. People of all ages are invited to share the comfort and joy of a cup of tea or coffee among friends. There will be friendly chatter alongside mince pies, Christmas cake and shortbread. There will be a raffle and the chance to win a home-made Christmas cake by guessing its weight. Home made cakes, crafts, jigsaws, books, games and bric-a-brac will also be on sale. The chocolate tombola is always popular. Carol singing for everyone to join in will be at 11.30am followed by the raffle draw. Prayer stars will be available. These are an opportunity for personal prayers and are the sole decoration of the church’s Christmas tree. Funds raised will be shared between Christians Against Poverty and Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. A warm welcome awaits you at this fun and friendly village event.
