YOUNG rugby players in Otley will be burning off their Christmas dinners at a fundraising Boxing Day match.
Otley RUFC will host the fourth annual Prince Henry’s Barbarians vs Otley Invitational game at Cross Green on Thursday, December 26.
The doors open at 11.30am with two matches - involving a PHGS U12 and U13s mixed team against a club Barbarian side and then a sevens game between the PHGS 1st Team and Otliensians Colts - taking place before the main event.
The PHGS Barbarians (featuring former Prince Henry’s Grammar School students) versus Otley Invitational XV will kick off at 2pm.
Admission costs £5 (under 18s free) with half of the proceeds going to the Otley Town Mayor’s appeal, to buy a minibus for local schools, and the remainder going to the PHGS Rugby Fund. There will also be a raffle. For more details visit the PHGS Barbarians vs. Otley Facebook page.
