AN INTERNATIONAL photography competition based in Rhyl has seen entrants from as far afield as Canada and China raise money for North Wales nature reserve.

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP) have received more than 2,000 entrants for their Bird Photographer of the Year 2019 competition.

At £1 per entry, the organisation has handed over £2,850 to the RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve in Llandudno Junction, with Thomas Vijayan of Ontario clinching the overall win with his image of a family of penguins.
