BURLEY-in-Wharfedale Christmas lights switch-on and Christmas market takes place on Saturday, November 30.
This year marks the 38th year of the event which is organised by the Burley Community Trust, with funding from Burley-in-Wharfedale Parish Council.
There will be refreshments in the Methodist Hall from 11am, with a festive craft fair with teas and cakes in the Queen’s Hall from 1pm.
The Christmas market and rides start from 2pm and this will be followed by performances from Burley Schools Choir, Performance Drama School Dance and the Burley Ukulele Jammers from 3.30pm. The grand light switch-on takes place at 4.30pm, followed by an after-lights party at the Cricket Club.
Main Street will be closed from noon to 6pm with a bus diversion along Grange Road with no parking permitted.
