THE tenth annual exhibition of Wharfedale Artists, held in Addingham Methodist Church Hall, was a big success.

Organiser Susan Ross said: “Plenty of people came to view the art and gave us positive feedback.

“One of the written comments first praised the art and then the quality of the scones and home made jam as being better than a well known Ilkley outlet!

“£500 was raised, £400 pounds going to the LGI Children’s Heart Surgery Fund with a donation to the upkeep of the Addingham Methodist church hall. We usually have a collaborative work which is the subject of a Quiz.

“This year artists had painted pictures ‘in the style of’ a more famous artist.

“Thanks to all our supporters and participants for contributing to a fantastic and joyful community event.”

Entry was free and the money was raised via a raffle and bric-a-bac stall.
