A SELLING exhibition of free-hand stitchings from local artist Aneeta Seshan is to be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 for one day only in the Roundhouse, Grange Park, Burley-in-Wharfedale from 11am to 5.30pm.

Aneeta is an accomplished stitcher, who lives in Burley-in-Wharfedale.

She also exhibits with Ilkley Arts.

It is hoped that Aneeta will continue to exhibit on a monthly basis at this unique venue.

Aneeta graduated from Glasgow School of Art and the Scottish College of Textiles.

She said: “My stitchings are inspired by a variety of sources including my home, garden, dogs and more recently fruit and vegetables.

“I am drawn to vibrant colours influenced by my Indian and Scottish heritage.

“The stitchings are of a domestic, homely, naive quality and are intended to make people smile.”

Aneeta sketches and colours her designs before translating them to fabric.

The embroideries are machine and hand stitched using rayon and cotton threads.
