MORE than a year since he was the first ever headline act at Moor Laughs Comedy Club at the Ilkley Vaults Bobby Mair returns with a brand-new act this Sunday.

It has been a busy year for Bobby who got an agent’s call in July to cancel the Edinburgh Festival show he had meticulously prepared and instead film first seasons of two new ITV shows in August and September.

TV critics in print and on the web have been full of praise for comedy panel show ‘Pants on Fire’ (with Emma Willis and Jimmy Carr) and the spoof-horror-comedy show ‘Killer Camp’ which Bobby hosted at the camp-counsellor (pictured).

Canadian-born Bobby, who lives in London, has played to full houses in Ilkley twice already in the last five years and has spoken of his affection for Ilkley and it’s comedy audiences.

This Sunday at the Ilkley Moor Vaults gastropub on Stockeld Road Bobby will be supported by two highly rated up and coming comics – Ash Preston and Jon Capewell. Ash and Jon have been winning awards and ‘gong shows’ up and down the country for some time now were handpicked by the man behind Moor Laughs and Sunday’s master of ceremonies Robson Stroud.

Robson said: “We’re delighted to welcome back the ingenious and effervescent force-of-nature that is Bobby Mair and for our twelfth show are pleased to have acts as talented as Jon and Ash in support."

Doors open at the Vaults at 7pm on Sunday (17th) and the show usually finishes for 9.30pm. Tickets are on sale now at Eventbrite.co.uk
