ADDINGHAM Civic Society has presented its latest Civic Pride Award to the Jennings Family.

Maz Jennings received the award at the Society’s autumn fayre from chairman Jim Robinson. Her husband Paul was unable to attend due to work commitments.

The society has been presenting the award annually for over seven years with previous recipients including: Professor Rick Battarbee, Sue Ross, the team at Addingham Community Library, Civic Society President Don Barrett and the Tour de France village committee.

Mr Robinson said: “It was always going to be difficult to follow such an illustrious group, but this year’s recipients have done so comfortably. Maz runs cubs and Paul scouts, they are both heavily involved in the Village Gala, the Panto and the Addingham Amble wouldn’t be the same without Maz’s involvement.” The award reads: “A Civic Pride Award in recognition of a family whose contribution to village life is immense”.
