WASHBURN Heritage Centre is preparing to holds its first Christmas market - and launch a new local cookery book.
The festive market will take place at the centre, in Fewston, from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, November 30 and on Sunday, December 1.
Visitors on both days can browse stalls selling traditional home-made food, crafts and gifts while enjoying mulled wine and Christmas carols courtesy of Otley Singers and Madrigalis.
The Washburn Valley Recipe Book, meanwhile - an illustrated publication featuring favourite recipes with links to the heritage of the valley - will be unveiled at 11am on the Saturday.
The book costs £5 and the heritage centre says it would make an ideal Christmas present.
