LIBERAL Democrat candidate Kamran Hussain has officially launched his election campaign for Leeds North West.
The event was held at St Giles Church Hall in Bramhope on Saturday, November 9 and led by Lord Dick Newby, the Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords, and Lib Dem MEP for Yorkshire and Humber Shaffaq Mohammed.
Mr Hussain believes ‘stopping Brexit’ is essential to ensuring a bright future for the country. He said: “Stopping Brexit will ensure we remain open and give our children and grandchildren the opportunities we have taken for granted. At the same time, it is time we made decisions here in the North to ensure we can properly fund and develop our future - a future where we can have a proper transport system where travelling would be greener and more efficient.”
He also pledged to fight for more funding for the NHS, police and education.
