ECCLESHILL United continued their good form by edging out Garforth Town 3-2 in an exciting Toolstation Northern Counties East League League Cup Third Round clash last night.

Hosts Eccleshill fell behind after 25 minutes to a Lee Turner strike, but a Jonathan Irving double put them in front at the break.

Garforth pulled level almost immediately after the break through Sean Hunter, but the winner came in bizarre circumstances on 54 minutes, as Lewis Sugden scored directly from a corner following a goalkeeping howler.

Former Bradford City man Kesi Omolokun, who provided a fine assist for Irving's second, was given the man of the match award.

Albion Sports joined Eccleshill in the hat for the next round, as they comfortably despatched Division One side Ollerton Town 2-0 on Tuesday.

They secured that away win courtesy of a 19th minute Luke Aldrich penalty and a strike just before the break from Cameron Lyn.

Their task was made that bit easier when Ollerton's Tom Moody was sent off 20 minutes into the second half.

In the West Riding County Cup First Round last night meanwhile, a weakened Liversedge side crashed out after a 2-1 defeat at Bradford District rivals Campion.

Shane Hamilton put the visitors ahead after 23 minutes, before Daniel Facey equalised right before half-time.

The stalemate was broken at the last by Campion's Aidan Day, who netted a 90th minute winner for his side to send them through.
