2019 is shaping up to be another busy year for Sarah Siddons Financial Planning and its owner Sarah Siddons, who, due to rapid practice expansion, has welcomed a new financial adviser, Dan Riley, to her team.

As a chartered accountant and former finance director at McCarthy & Stone and Brio Retirement Living, Dan decided to become a financial adviser and wealth manager and joined the prestigious St. James’s Place Academy in March.

After seven months’ intensive training and professional development at the Academy, he joined Sarah Siddons Financial Planning on September 9, taking the total number of team members in the Skipton Road Practice to six.

Dan lives in Burley-in-Wharfedale with his family and is relishing the change of career direction. As he says: “After 12 years of safeguarding corporate assets, my focus will be on providing tailored, trusted service to individuals and nurturing long-term relationships with my clients.

“One of the aspects I particularly enjoy professionally is mentoring people and passing on the benefit of my experience which is why I am so looking forward to working with Sarah and her dedicated team”.

Dan’s enthusiasm for people development also extends into his spare time. He is a big football fan and most weekends he is dedicated to coaching his son’s age group at Ilkley Town AFC where he is continually impressed by the team’s enthusiasm, dedication and progress from one season to another.

Sarah said: “I am delighted to welcome Dan to my practice who I’ve known for many years. He has excellent people skills and has acquired a breadth of customer service experience in his previous client and consumer facing roles. He’ll be an asset and a welcome addition to my team.”

In addition to the growth of her practice and her recently attained chartered status representing the culmination of ten years of self study, Sarah has also recently taken up the role of Voluntary Director at Ilkley BID Ltd, which operates the Business Improvement District in IIkley.
