Interim manager Marcus Law is on the look-out for a few experienced heads to help Bradford (Park Avenue) wake up from their nightmare start to the season.

Avenue are back on the road tonight as they head to Gateshead in the National League North, having lost all three matches so far - conceding 13 goals and scoring none.

Law has been drafted in to steady the ship after Garry Thompson lasted just two games at the helm before being sacked.

Having only been installed as a temporary replacement last Thursday, he was unable to stop the rot last weekend as Kidderminster won 3-0 at Horsfall.

And having witnessed his young side for the first time, Law has already identified a pressing need ahead of the trip to mid-table Gateshead, who have drawn their first three games.

He said: "We've got to get some experience in there to help the core of young players who can obviously deliver but it's really tough to have a whole squad of them - certainly in this league because it is relentless and ruthless. We made two or three mistakes in the first half and got punished."

Meanwhile, Guiseley are also looking to put a defeat behind them as they host Spennymoor Town tonight.

After two big wins, the Lions were brought down to earth at Southport in a 3-0 defeat. The Merseysiders are at Farsley Celtic tonight.
