OUTSIDE the Box, Ilkley’s community café has launched OTB Kidstime, providing summer fun activities for younger children.

“We have lots of families coming to the café, including parents and grandparents with young children and know that they love our child-friendly environment and menu as well as our friendly, relaxed atmosphere,” said Jenna Peel, operations director for Outside the Box.

“We want to offer them something extra this summer. We have recently done a survey of our customers and got fantastic feedback alongside some great suggestions and ideas.

“OTB Kidstime is one of the new developments that we have introduced to respond to what our customers are telling us they would like.”

The café is now taking bookings for their new Kidstime craft workshops and story time sessions which are running on Wednesday afternoons from July 31 throughout August.

There will be a small charge for children attending the sessions; parents or grandparents accompanying children will be able to have a discounted hot drink and slice of cake.

Outside the Box, run by local charity Ilkley Community Enterprise Ltd, is an award-winning community café on Bridge Lane that also provides work experience and training for adults and young people with a learning disability.
