THROUGHOUT the year children from Year 2 at Ashlands Primary School in Ilkley have been going to visit residents at Chesterton Court in Railway Road, Ilkley. They play games, sing songs and chat, as well as enjoying juice and a biscuit.

On Thursday, July 4 the children invited some of the residents to join their parents and carers to watch their summer performance, Bee Musical.

The performance took place outside in the sunshine and afterwards the children laid on a tea party in the school library.

Mrs Elle Bradley, who has been accompanying the children on their visits to Chesterton Court said: "The children have thoroughly enjoyed their visits and are becoming good friends with the residents. We hope they are ready for more lively youngsters next year!"
