A ‘GOOD’ rating has been awarded to NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven clinical commissioning group (CCG).

NHS England gave the grade following an assessment of the organisation’s leadership, financial position and performance against key indicators, as well as improvements made across a number of areas.

Dr James Thomas, clinical chairman of NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCG, welcomed the findings.

He said: “Over the last year, we have been working even more closely in partnership with health and social care colleagues to further develop the quality of our services and make sure care is available in the right place at the right time.

“This good rating reflects the strength of these partnerships whilst acknowledging our challenging financial position.

“We are continuing to focus on the needs of our growing older population which lives with increasingly complex needs and long-term conditions.”
