AN OTLEY GP practice will restart its Balance and Stability classes next month.

Westgate Surgery introduced the sessions, aimed at improving the movement and health of patients aged 50 and over, in May, 2018.

They proved an immediate hit with many patients reporting that they had made a ‘huge’ difference.

The OnePrimaryCare surgery has now announced that its new health coach, Nicola Marchant, will lead the classes when they start up again in August. The sessions, which run on Tuesdays from 2.15pm to 3pm, will re-commence on Tuesday, August 20.

Open to all abilities and to unregistered patients, the class’s exercises are mainly chair-based with a focus on low impact and are of low, to medium, intensity.

The initiative is part of OnePrimaryCare’s commitment to providing care to the community and was introduced in response to patient demand. To find out more or book a place call (01943) 660533.
