FIREFIGHTERS have reunited a trapped calf with its mother.
A team from Cleckheaton were called out to fields off West Lane, Askwith just before 3.30pm on Sunday, July 7.
Once there they found a young calf, only a few weeks old, who had become trapped after falling into a culvert.
Station Manager Jonathan Earl, who attended the scene, said: "He had been spotted by a couple that were walking through the field.
"Cleckheaton crews took equipment ready to lift him out if he was injured.
"Luckily, he was fine and once they had taken some additional stones from the top of the culvert they helped him out and he ran straight off to his mum for a feed."
