BRAMHOPE can now boast of its very own ‘boutique bug hotel’.
A group from the Northcliffe Environmental Enterprises Team (NEET) charity has built the wooden sanctuary for insects and other small creatures on Jubilee Copse. The ‘hotel’ is 2ft wide and 4ft high and sports a living sedum roof.
Bramhope in Bloom Chair Janet Hobson said: “The guys involved had collected bark, logs and moss and did everything from digging holes to transporting cement and water. We don’t do things by half in Bramhope and now have our very own boutique bug hotel plus, in a tree opposite, a boutique bird box that was donated by a member of our group.
“Well done everyone.”
