ONE of Otley Karate Centre’s youngest members is celebrating becoming a black belt.
Ten year old Robert Allinson achieved the rank of Shodan (1st degreee black belt) at a recent Shukokai/shito-ryu Karate Alliance black belt grading in Warrington.
Otley Karate Centre’s Shihan (chief instructor) John Walker said: “As one of our youngest students Robert passed with flying colours and is a real credit to the club. His success continues our proud record of 100 per cent student success at black belt gradings.
“Our classes are tailored for a mixed age range and suitable for a range of abilities. We train members to the highest standard in traditional Shukokai karate, and actively promote family membership.”
