THE second of the two sessions hosted by Ilkley Quakers is this Thursday, May 9th in Ilkley Quaker Meeting House, at 7.30, with refreshments from 7pm

This session looks at how people put their faith into practice and the challenges this brings. It will involve three short talks by Quakers describing how they attempt to live their life according to their faith, discussion and questions, and a period of silent contemplation in the Quaker way.

The first session on May 3 was very well attended and organiser Kate Graham was delighted with how it went:

“The talks were excellent, and the period of silent contemplation and worship was very deep. It was great to hear Quakers talking about their faith, and then so many different people sharing so much together afterwards. I found it nourishing and illuminating.”

Thursdays session will take about two hours and all are welcome. The evening is free and you will not be expected to sign up to anything. The sessions are open to anyone who is interested in these issues, of any faith or none.
