ADDINGHAM Environment Group is holding its third Environment Weekend on May 18 and 19.
On Saturday from 10.30am to 3pm in the Memorial Hall the group is looking forward to updating everyone with the progress they’ve made in their various projects over the last 12 months. These include 4Becks, Wildflowers and Pollinators, Trees & Hedgerows, Hedgehogs, Zero Carbon Addingham and Zero Waste Addingham.
Visitors will be promoting their work including Yorkshire Owl Rescue, The West Yorkshire Bat Group, The Woodland Trust, Heritage Wildflowers, James McKay a Zero Carbon artist from Leeds University, The Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust, Addingham Gardens and Allotments Society and Addingham Garden Friends.
On Sunday from 2pm there will be a guided environment walk taking in some of Addingham Moorside highlighting some of key sites in the village for wildlife including wildflower meadows, old woodland and the becks.
