A LAUNCH party is to take place on Friday, May 3 for the Town Hall Tavern at Yeadon Town Hall.

The space is the first to be completed in the restoration work being undertaken by Yeadon Town Hall CIC team who have taken over the town hall from Leeds City Council.

The refurbishment has combined two separate spaces into one larger area. Removing the 1950s ceiling has revealed previously hidden stained glass windows. The bar has also been repainted, mainly in Yeadon Town

Hall’s teal brand colour. This traditional colour palette ensures the bar’s

redecoration is in keeping with the Town Hall’s heritage and historical

architecture.

The launch event, from 7.30pm, will give the public the chance to enjoy a drink in the newly refurbished bar space, with music and entertainment provided by the Dan Burnett Blues Band and singer-songwriter Nigel Passey.

The next event on Friday, May 24 at 7.30pm, is a musical themed quiz with live music from Yeadon Town Hall Director Jamie Hudson.

The musicals quiz is followed by a more traditional pub quiz on Friday, June 21 at 7.30pm. Local quizmaster John Waite is hosting the event.

The final Town Hall Tavern event for the spring/summer season will be a

Speakeasy 1920s Fancy Dress Party on Saturday, July 20 at 7.30pm. The party will include live jazz music and speciality cocktails.

The opening night and 1920s party are free events, with both quiz nights

costing £2 entry per team. There’s no need to book in advance or RSVP for any events at the Town Hall Tavern although it is advised to arrive early to secure a spot.
