THE Junior Leadership Team at Westville House School held a Spring Fair to raise funds for the chidlren’s charity Barnardo’s. Held in the school sports hall the children had organised games stalls and raffles for all members of the school to take part.
Helen Evans, fundraiser from Barnardo’s, attended the event and said she was bowled over by the determination of pupils to help other children. “The moment when a young boy puts £4 in your Barnardo’s collection tin and says ‘I don’t need this you can have it”’was definitely a heart melting moment. The generosity of spirit from such young children was extra-ordinary.”
Throughout the year Westville House is raising money for Barnardo’s. The next event will be the Barnardo’s giant toddle being held at the school on Sunday, May 12.
