A SILSDEN community centre has launched a series of family film afternoons designed to be ‘autism friendly’.
The next screening at The Hive, in Elliott Street, is Mary Poppins Returns, on Saturday, May 4.
Sponsorship is being provided by Springbank Care Home, in Silsden.
The show starts at 1.30pm.
Admission is £2 50 per child.
Children must be accompanied, but there is no charge for adults.
Trustees at The Hive are also raising funds to resurface the centre’s all-weather sports pitch, known as the MUGA.
A grant application has been submitted to Sport England and advice and support is being sought from the town’s sports clubs.
The Hive is home to a number of activities – including baby and toddler groups, singers and taekwondo – and hosts various events.
