ILKLEY and District Riding Association is preparing for its first show of the season on Easter Sunday.
The event, at Nell Bank on Denton Road, will feature some new classes this year. It will include a new clear round for junior and seniors, and a tiny tots class for riders aged ten years and under. Among other sections are Tack and Turnout, and Beginner’s Walk and Trot. Non members are welcome.
The association’s August show will be a fun show and will include dog classes in support of Therapy Dogs Nationwide.
A spokeswoman said: “The committee are busy preparing for the first show, jumps being painted, railings replaced, grass cut and fields rolled.”
She added: “A huge thank you to all the committee, our sponsors, judges and stewards, all helpers and our faithful members plus a warm welcome to new ones too. Wishing everyone lots of fun and good luck for the 2019 season! Don’t forget to keep an eye on the website and facebook in case we have to cancel due to the inclement weather.”
