POLICE are appealing for information following a crash involving a bicycle and motorbike near Otley.

The incident happened at about 10.30am on Saturday, April 13 on Askwith Moor Road at its junction with Moor Lane, near Weston.

It involved a cyclist who was travelling from Moor Lane and a Ducati motorcycle that had been heading towards the A59 along Askwith Moor Road. Both riders fell from their vehicles as a result of the collision.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s from the Leeds area, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance. The cyclist left the scene before emergency services attended.
