A POPULAR bus service from Otley to Pateley Bridge will run again this summer.

Otley councillors Colin Campbel, Sandy Lay and Ryk Downes have welcomed the news that the Summer Sunday Dalesbus service will start again on Sunday, April 21.

“Last year we were able to help with the funding of this service”, said Cllr Campbell, “and we are pleased to have found money to help again this year.

“This special Sunday route has proved very popular, with standing room only on some trips. We are pleased that because of demand the service will now run twice daily. This means keen walkers can have a day rambling in the dales and the not so active can have a tour of this beautiful part of Yorkshire.”

Cllr Lay said:”The service is part of a wider network of Sunday services covering the Dales. These bring visitors into Otley and enables residents to travel over a wide area. Timetables should be available in the newly refurbished Library or can be downloaded at WYMetro. This is a really great service and we would urge everyone to give it a try.”
