MORE than £2,000 has been raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital in a fundraiser staged by four young schoolfriends.
The youngsters, from Yeadon, held a Disney themed event in memory of Nicole Cousins, who was just 11 days old when she died 12 years ago. Nicole was born with a tumour and was placed under the care of Great Ormond Street.
Nicole’s sister Jorja Cousins, aged ten, never knew her sister but wanted to raise funds in her memory. She staged the event along with her friends Ella Murray, 11, Mia Coburn, 10, and Gracie Horner-Glister, 11. The girls, who are all pupils at Westfield Junior School, held a Great Disney Street Coffee Morning at the10th Airedale Scout Hut in Yeadon.
The proceeds of the event will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, which raises money to support some of the hospital’s most urgent needs.
