A BBC Radio presenter will help a female entrepreneur collective in Ilkley mark International Women’s Day.

Girl Tribe Gang’s Ilkley group, which is headed up by businesswomen Anna Mewes and Kate Ibbotson, will be honouring the global event when they meet on Wednesday, March 6.

The pair are inviting local women to join them at Banyan Bar from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on the night - tickets are free for current Ilkley Gang members but guest tickets are also available at www.girltribegang.co.uk/tribes/ilkley .

Stephanie Hirst - who announced during an interview in 2014 that she was in the process of transitioning - will give a talk about gender issues and her career, and field questions.

The theme for International Women’s Day is BalanceForBetter which the campaign describes as a ‘race...for the gender-balanced boardroom, a gender-balanced government, gender-balanced media coverage, a gender-balance of employees, more gender-balance in wealth and gender-balanced sports coverage’.
