OTLEY’S residents are being invited to take part in the Great British Spring Clean 2019.
The national campaign by Keep Britain Tidy - visit https://www.keepbritaintidy.org for full details - takes place from March 22 to April 23 and this year will have a particular focus on clearing and recycling plastic waste.
Otley Town Council will be getting involved on Saturday, April 20 when councillors will team up with residents for a two-hour clean-up.
The event begins outside the Otley Core Resource Centre, on Orchard Gate, at 10am and equipment will be provided.
Free, re-usable water bottles will be given to all registered attendees while an Otley re-use bag will be presented to the person who collects the most litter.
Anyone interested in taking part is asked to register by sending an e-mail to admin@otleytowncouncil.gov.uk, calling (01943) 466335, or calling in at Otley Core.
