UPDATED details on plans to improve transport links to Leeds Bradford Airport were released this week.

Leeds City Council has issued further information and artists impressions of the three options to improve road access and the proposed new parkway rail station on the Leeds to Harrogate line. The council is working with West Yorkshire Combined Authority and partners including Leeds Bradford Airport,

The latest information - including maps, images, an animation and fly-through videos - will form part of a phase of public consultation launched this week and running to April 12. The information and online survey can be seen at www.leeds.gov.uk/connectinglba. Public drop-in sessions will be held from 3pm to 7pm on Monday, February 25 at Yeadon Town Hall; from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, February 28 at Otley Courthouse; from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Tuesday, March 5 at Greenacre Hall, Rawdon; from 2pm to 5pm on Saturday, March 9 at Cookridge Village Hall; from 5pm to 8.30pm on Tuesday, March 12 at Bramhope Methodist Church and from 5pm to 8.30pm on Tuesday, March 19 at The Grove Church, Horsforth.

The LBA Link Route road proposals include two which would see a new road created from the A65, with the first option running along the eastern side of the airport before joining the A658 while the second option would run to the south west of the airport before joining the A658. The third option would see upgrading of existing junctions on the A65 and A658.

The parkway station is planned for the existing Leeds to Harrogate line between Scotland Lane and Cookridge. The station would include a 350-space car park and a bus interchange. A pedestrian/cycle path to Cookridge is also proposed.
