AIREBOROUGH RUFC volunteers have teamed up with Guiseley Community Foundation to hold their first half term holiday camp, in a bid to encourage more children to be active.
The Yeadon-based rugby union club will hold a one-day rugby skills camp for girls and boys aged from four to 16 at Nunroyd Pavillion from 10am to 3pm on Thursday February 21. Alongside this, coaches from the Guiseley Community Foundation- an initiative supported by Guiseley Football Club - will run a week-long half term football camp.
Graeme Forster, chairman of Aireborough RUFC said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Guiseley Community Foundation to deliver our first rugby camp and can’t wait to see how our joint initiative will benefit more children in the future.”
Steve Taylor, community development manager of Guiseley Community Foundation added: “By offering different sports we will hopefully encourage more people to get involved and create new talent and fans for each club.”
Each day session will be charged at a rate of £15 per child with a discount for a full week. To book contact Gemma on 07583094867 or email birbeck6@googlemail.com.
