POLICE have seized a ‘substantial amount’ of drugs from an address in Otley.

Officers executed search warrants at two addresses on Meagill Rise at 10am on Wednesday, February 6.

A large amount of what is believed to be cannabis, along with suspected Class A drugs, were found at one of the properties. Two men were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and are in custody as enquiries continue.

Inspector Andy Loftus, who heads neighbourhood policing for north-west Leeds, said: “We are committed to tackling the crime and anti-social behaviour that the organised supply of drugs creates. Information from the community is a vital part of that work and we would encourage anyone who has suspicions to contact us directly.”
