A SPECIAL fund-raising Folk/Rock Concert raised over £1,100 to support the Sunday DalesBus network.

Top local groups - Keepers Wood, Rum Doodle and the Hall Brothers with acoustic violinist John Carey - delighted a near capacity audience at Copper Bar in Guiseley Saturday.

The artists all gave their performances free of charge, and Coopers gave free use of their performance room to help the not-for-profit company Dales & Bowland CIC raise the funds needed to operate DalesBus.

Starting on Easter Sunday, April 21st, it is hoped to operate a network of 12 integrated Dales Bus services to provide unrivalled access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale AONB for those many thousands of people living in the towns and cities of West Yorkshire without a car, as well as a valued local Sunday bus service for residents of the Dales.
