A NEW President has taken over at the Rotary Club of Otley Chevin.
George Duncan has taken on the role, succeeding Stuart Angus, and received the chain of office at a recent handover ceremony.
Both are looking forward to the club’s 30th Charter Anniversary Dinner, which takes place at the Chevin Country Park Hotel on Monday, March 11. David Pearson, the Deputy Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, will be the guest speaker.
At the next club meeting, meanwhile - on Monday, February 4 - the guest speaker will be a representative from St George’s Crypt, in Leeds, who will talk about the charity’s work.
A cheque for £750, raised by members carol singing before Christmas, will also be presented on the night.
