A WHARFEDALE GP practice is offering tips to help people build on their ‘Dry January’ pledges.
The challenge, to abstain from alcohol during the first month of the year, is run by Alcohol Change UK. The charity says doing so delivers both short and longer-term health benefits.
Westgate Surgery in Otley, part of OnePrimaryCare, is keen for Dry January participants to keep up the good work by cutting back throughout the year.
The practice’s Health Coach, Nicola Marchant, is advising people to: keep a diary to monitor what they’re drinking each week/month; have alcohol-free days; and buy less alcohol during their weekly shop.
