Work is well advanced on renovating a property which had previously been in use as small flats on Brighton Road in Rhyl.

The property on the corner of Bath Street has been bought by Denbighshire Housing and is being converted into three energy efficient apartments which meet the Council’s space standards for new homes.

The conversion is being undertaken by local contractors Anthony Dever Construction and is due to be completed in the early spring.

Welcoming the development, Councillor Tony Thomas, the Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, Regulation and the Environment, said: “This project will bring a derelict property back into use, providing three affordable homes and contributing towards the Council’s corporate plan priority to deliver new homes and the objectives of the new Town Centre Masterplan for Rhyl by finding new uses for empty buildings.”
