YEAR 6 children from Ben Rhydding Primary School enjoyed a “Light” workshop last week at St John’s Church, Ben Rhydding.
Topics included the tradition and significance of the Advent wreath and the tradition of Christingles.
There were also bible references to light as a Christian symbol, which they looked up.
The children made their own Christingles and at the end of the afternoon, standing in a circle at the back of church, with the candles lit, they sang three verses of Away in a Manger.
“That was a very special moment, “ they all agreed.
