A HOUSEBUILDING team put its best foot forward to raise money for charity.

Five workers from Barratt Homes Yorkshire West, which has the Vision development in Keighley, tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Jos Lingard, Martin Purdy, Rob Crossley, Tim McDermott and Gabe Lynch together raised £3,500.

They were joined by around 60 colleagues from Barratt Homes divisions across the country.

Proceeds from the event – over £39,000 in total – are for the Princes Trust.

The challenge was staged to celebrate the company's 60th anniversary.

Mr Lingard, a land graduate at Barratt Homes Yorkshire West, said: "The hike was a fantastic opportunity for our division to join-up with colleagues from across the country to celebrate the anniversary.

"Not only did this raise money for a good cause, it also gave us the chance to build relationships with those from around the wider business.

"Barratt Homes has supported the Princes Trust in the past and we share its aim to create opportunities for young people through personal and professional training and development.

"It was a tough challenge, but we were thrilled to raise so much money for such a brilliant charity."
