YORKSHIRE cricket stars will help make Christmas special for children at Martin House Hospice when they join Father Christmas on a festive helicopter flight.

Steven Patterson and Matthew Fisher will be among Santa’s helpers taking presents to children at the hospice in an event organised by Yeadon-based Multiflight and online marketing company Infoserve.

Waiting to greet them on Wednesday will be children, parents, family members and hospice staff.

Multiflight’s charter manager Linda Nicholls said: “We are delighted Steven and Matthew can join us this year. Martin House Hospice is a fantastic, deserving charity which we have proudly supported for a number of years and the arrival of Santa and the cricket stars is sure to be a wonderful occasion for everyone at the hospice.”

Clair Holdsworth, Director of Care at Martin House, said: “Many of the children who come to Martin House are too poorly or find it difficult to visit Santa in his grotto, so it is lovely to be able to bring Santa to them in such a special way.”
