SIMON and Garfunkel fans will be able to hear some of the duo’s best-loved songs in Otley next month.
The Sounds of Simon tribute band, due to popular demand, is returning to Otley Courthouse on Saturday, January 19.
Featuring Adam Ellis as Art Garfunkel and Ben Bowden as Paul Simon, the group takes the audience on a journey through the pair’s illustrious career - and then Simon’s equally celebrated solo work.
Starting with the early Simon and Garfunkel albums, they go on to play huge hits like The Boxer and Mrs Robinson and then later Simon classics including You Can Call Me Al and The Obvious Child.
As well as replicating the duo’s famous harmonies, Ben and Adam also weave in references to Simon and Gafunkel’s famously fractious relationship as they play their roles.
The pair say the show, part of the Old Friends Duo Tour, delivers the songs as they ‘are meant to be: just two voices and a guitar’.
The Sounds of Simon’s Courthouse performance starts at 8pm and tickets cost £12. Places can be booked by visiting www.otleycourthouse.org.uk, calling (01943) 467466 or popping into the Courthouse, on Courthouse Street.
