A TEENAGE artist who specialises in making collages from scratch-cards is looking forward to holding an exhibition in Otley.
Seventeen year old James Owen Thomas, from Pateley Bridge, is an ex-pupil of The Whartons Primary School in Otley - which he recently visited to give a talk.
James uses recycled material to cover everything from mobile phones to disused TV sets when creating his collages, incorporating techniques that use hole-punched circles, cut strips or torn pieces.
Discarded scratch cards, which he collects from local shops who keep them for him, continue to be his material of choice.
His Otley exhibition will run at the Courthouse from Sunday, December 2 to Sunday, January 6.
James has supported several charities, including The National Autistic Society and Shelter, by donating proceeds from his sales.
