ECLECTIC folk duo Belshazzar’s Feast will bring their Christmas show to Otley next month.

The band, comprising Paul Sartin of Bellowhead and Faustus and Paul Hutchinson of Hoover The Dog, will perform at The Black Horse Hotel on Wednesday, December 5.

The fun starts at 8pm and the pair are promising an evening that mixes traditional folk with seasonal music along with nods to classical, pop and music hall.

Belshazzar’s Feast shows are also renowned for high levels of audience participation along with plenty of wry humour, in the form of chat between songs, from the performers.

The group’s recent broadcast appearances have included slots on the Claire Balding Show (BBC Radio 2), In Tune (BBC Radio 3), and the Chris Evans Show (BBC Radio 2).

Regular, and popular, performs at Otley Folk Festival the band received a coveted nomination for the Best Duo Award at the 2010 BBC Folk Awards, and play at festivals across the UK, USA and Australia.
