YEADON Carnival has given £500 to a charity which helps elderly people.
Carnival treasurer Paul Wilkinson and Matthew Pank of Manning Stainton handed over the donation to Sarah Lunt of AVSED, Aireborough Voluntary Services to the Elderly.
A spokesman for the carnival said: “ After another successful year, Yeadon Carnival is able to continue to support local charities like AVSED and Memory Lane, and this is only possible through support from the public, local businesses and the sponsor’s Manning Stainton, Potting Shed and Leeds Bradford Airport.
“The carnival is looking forward to another successful event to be held at Yeadon Cricket Club in 2019.”
AVSED is a charity which works to prevent the social isolation of local older people and to help them live happy, healthy and independent lives.
